During the hike, we will make our way towards the Lampivaara Amethyst Mine, located on the heights of Pyhä-Luosto.
This open-pit mine is one of the most unique experiences in the region. Accompanied by a mine guide and your own guide, you will learn about the history of amethyst and how this precious stone was formed over millions of years.
Then comes the most exciting part: you will have the chance to search for your own amethyst and take your find home as a souvenir, according to the mine’s rules.
From Lampivaara, you can also enjoy beautiful views over the snow-covered landscapes of Pyhä-Luosto.
