Snowshoeing Tour
Set off on a private or small-group snowshoeing tour in Rovaniemi, deep in the peaceful nature of Finnish Lapland and away from the city. Discover beautiful snow-covered forests and panoramic hilltop views while enjoying the silence of the Arctic wilderness.
Several routes are available and can be adapted to your age, fitness level and experience. If you would like to go snowshoeing several times during your stay, your guide can also choose different routes so that each outing offers something new.
During your snowshoe hike, you will learn more about Lapland’s nature, wildlife and plant life with your experienced guide.

1h30 walk in total, with a 45-minute break in one of our traditional tipis.

Important : Although snowshoeing does not require any particular technical skills, for the comfort and safety of the whole group, participants must guarantee that they are in good physical condition, have no mobility impairments and are at least 13 years old.
Private Backcountry Skiing in Rovaniemi
Discover a different side of Finnish Lapland on a private backcountry skiing tour in Rovaniemi. Strap on your touring skis and explore peaceful forests, snowy landscapes and remote areas away from the usual trails. The route is adapted to the age and fitness level of your group.

Snow Season in Rovaniemi
From November to April, Rovaniemi’s landscapes are covered in snow, creating ideal conditions for snowshoeing. The exact length of the season varies from year to year, but winter remains the best time to discover Lapland’s nature under a blanket of snow.
Snowshoes rental in Rovaniemi
f you have experience and knowledge of the terrain, it is then possible to rent snowshoes or skis and go hiking on your own. However, it is necessary to be equipped to limit the risks and enjoy this experience serenely: you should have, among other things, warm clothes, a vehicle to get to the starting point of your hike, backpack, headlamps, topographic maps, enough equipment to start a fire and some snacks. Without experience or adequate equipment, it is recommended to go hiking with a local guide.
