Come and discover the life of sled dogs in summer, in Rovaniemi. Many people have already dreamed of setting off at the controls of a team of Huskies for an experience in the heart of magnificent snowy landscapes. This popular winter experience is possible in Rovaniemi only from November to April.
During the summer in Lapland, when all the snow has melted and the temperatures are warmer, life for mushers and Huskies is very different. During this period, we invite you to come and discover this universe during a meeting program with our partner, located 30 minutes from Rovaniemi.
Programs with the Huskies in summer in Rovaniemi
On this program, you will visit a kennel, meet Alaskan Huskies and discover their incredible abilities. A guided tour of a modern kennel and a fascinating insight into the daily lives of Huskies and mushers. The dogs will be delighted to take you on a ride with a kart on wheels, to show you how they prepare for winter. After the walk, you will have the opportunity to learn more about Huskies and discover their life in the kennel. Huskies love attention and you will have the opportunity to interact with them. You will have time to get to know the dogs and their unique character, as well as discover how the kennel works.

During this program, you will have to go by your own means to the kennel, located about thirty kilometers from the center of Rovaniemi (30 minutes by car or taxi). On site, you will be greeted by a musher and the tour will take place in English.
Program process
- Guided tour of the kennel (2 hours on site),
- Informative discussion about Huskies,
- Husky ride of 800 m with wheel kart (you will be seated in the kart and it is your guide who will be in control (available only if the temperatures are below 15 degrees),
- Meeting with puppies (if there are puppies at the time of the visit),
- Tasting of juice and biscuits.
Season : from early June to late August (Tuesday to Saturday only)

During this program, you will be accompanied by a guide from our Arctic Attitude agency. Our guide will pick you up directly from your accommodation (within a radius of 10km maximum around Rovaniemi) and then drive you to the kennel, located about thirty kilometers from the center of Rovaniemi (30 minutes by car). On site, you will be greeted by a musher from the kennel.

- Guided tour of the kennel (2 hours on site),
